CENOTE TAK BE LUM
Cenote diving in Tak Be Lum: the dark little sister of Dreamgate.
Open Water · Advanced and 25+ dives preferred
Tak Be Lum (also spelled Tak Be Lu’um or Taak Be Luum) is a 9 m / 30 ft cavern dive, completely under the rock ceiling and packed with formations. Think of it as the little sister of Dreamgate: very dark, very decorated, and made for divers who love geology.
There is almost no natural light here (brightness 1/5), so your torch does all the work, picking out stalactites, stalagmites and columns one by one. The cavern feels enclosed (claustrophobia 4/5). If tight, dark spaces bother you, tell us when you book and we will suggest a brighter, more open site.
There is no halocline and no hydrogen sulfide. Each dive lasts 40 to 50 minutes.
